DIY Coconut and Turmeric Body Scrub
This Body Scrub has added benefits of using turmeric, which has antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric is also good for acne-prone skin and has healing properties. It reduces pigmentation and dark spots and gives you glowing skin.
- Sugar is also great for exfoliation as it dissolves very well.
- Coconut Oil is a good moisturizer and makes your skin soft and supple.
- Vitamin E further moisturizes the skin and acts as a preservative.
You Will Need:
- 2 tbsp Turmeric
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup White Sugar
- 1/4 cup Coconut Oil (or any other oil of your choice).
- 3 or 4 drops of Vitamin E oil.
Methods:
- In a bowl mix brown sugar, white sugar, and turmeric nicely.
- Then add coconut oil and Vitamin E oil and mix again.
- Now your very own DIY Body Scrub is ready.
- Transfer this scrub into an airtight jar.
- You can store this for one week in the refrigerator.
Directions:
- In a shower, wet your skin with water and apply the Coconut and Turmeric Body Scrub.
- Using a washcloth rub your skin in a circular motion for 5 minutes.
- Rinse the scrub off with warm water and gently pat dry the body.
- Apply a moisturizer afterward to lock in the moisture.
How Often Should You Use Body Scrub
As a general guideline, start using Body Scrub once a week and then gradually increase it to 3 to 4 times per week. If You are new to exfoliation, then test it on one part of your body to prevent irritations.
Remember our skin response to exfoliation differently. Over can hurt your skin while exfoliating too sparingly would not be effective. So do it yourself and do it with moderation. If you are too lazy to make anything, then go for dry brushing.
